I started playing my brother's banjo when I was about 13 or 14, while he was away at college. During the Bonnie and Clyde, "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" days, I soon discovered the guitar. One of my sister's boyfriends gave my younger brother and I an old Silvertone archtop "F" hole and I have been upgrading and expanding my style ever since. My finger picking style began when first saw Jerry Reed play finger pick style and took up that style myself. I've been in several country and rock bands, both here in Kansas City and in Springfield, Missouri. I like odd but ingenuous music styles and rhythm. My goal is to get people inside my world concerning music. I want them to get that zing whenever they hear something that really reaches their soul or even just their ears. If I can do that then I've accomplished what I set out to do.
