What's the story
behind the song?

Verse I
He wakes her in the morning, she drags out of bed
She drives in a rusted car to a job that's all but dead.
He lost his job six months ago or maybe it was nine
And every day is nothing but walking on a thin line.

Chorus
Hey baby, what can I say
Hey baby, something's bound to come our way
Hey baby, it's resurrection day.

Verse II
He fixes the kids their breakfast and sends them off the school.
He wonders if they find the time to even teach the golden rule.
'Cause any man in his shoes can lose all sense of right.
When you think of all the money that's waiting in awaking night.

To Chorus

Bridge
There's a bar on every corner
Where the faithless drown their sorrow.
And there's a child born every minute
Who breathes life in our tomorrow.

Verse III
He wakes her in the morning and pulls her close to him.
He says the winds are changing the weather vane is turning in the wind.

To Chorus
